The curriculum of the Scientific High School has been designed with the intention of providing students with the tools necessary to confidently move in scientific fields and delve into the Italian cultural tradition, thanks to a complete preparation from a literary, historical, artistic and philosophical point of view.
The enhanced English curriculum prepares students to reach the levels of B2 and C1 language competence, certified by the First Certificate, the Academic IELTS, the CAE – Certificate in Advanced English or the SAT test.
The teaching approach allows for the development of fundamental skills necessary for the future: the systematic and critical study of subjects is combined with a method that prioritises experience, laboratory activities, projects, and the ability to take initiative and responsibility.
CRASH COURSE: Mecathronic Contest with Bonfiglioli Group, Obeya FAAC Challenge – laboratory of Automation and Big Data Challenge – laboratory of Data Analysis and Machine Learning with Iconsulting. The “daily” teaching activity is put on hold for these special projects: the goal is to develop the ability to work in teams using creativity and problem solving. Additionally, the Malpighi La.B team gives interested students the opportunity to delve deeper into these topics with specific afternoon activities.
During the “triennio”, or final three years of high school, students have the opportunity to choose the Optional Biomedical Path, promoted by MIUR and created in collaboration with the Provincial Order of Medical Surgeons and Dentists of Bologna, a study of the sciences with a particular focus on biomedicine.
